Wedding Services

signing.jpgAre you looking for a wedding celebrant who is experienced, professional and caring?

I am a Commonwealth appointed Civil Marriage Celebrant, and I'm available seven days a week to perform civil ceremonies which are tasteful, meaningful and stress free.

Whether you have no idea where to start or already have a vision of your wedding ceremony, I will work with you to create the ceremony you have always hoped for.

The Initial Process

After our initial no obligation meeting and if you have decided that I am the right celebrant for you, the next step will be to ensure that I am available for your chosen date, and to secure my services with a non-refundable booking fee.

To ensure my total committment to your occasion, I only perform one ceremony per day. I will never be in a rush to leave with indecent haste!

The Legal Requirements

There are certain legal requirements to marry in Australia and as your Marriage Celebrant it is my job to ensure that these are carried out correctly and that you have a valid and legally binding marriage.

At a second meeting it will be necessary to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage form, and I will need to receive this at least one month before your chosen date. This activates the compulsory waiting period. At the same time, I will need to view original documents such as your birth certificates or passports + photo identification (drivers licence)

A week or so before your wedding day we will meet up again to go through your completed paperwork to ensure everything is correct and to sign the necessary  declarations and finalise all the details. The balance of my fees are payable at this time.

We will arrange to meet on site for a wedding rehearsal, if possible including the bridal party. This is an important meeting for everyone to be familiar with the procedure for the big day and also helps to settle any nerves.

The Ceremony

Your wedding ceremony can be as understated or as personalised as you prefer. I will incorporate your wishes into the ceremony. It is part of my function to suggest ideas, which may form part of your ceremony. It is your job to accept or reject.  I will write the first draft of your ceremony, which I will email to you. You will be able to edit this as you wish. There is no limit to the changes, it is important on the day, your ceremony expresses everything you want. Your Ceremony - Your Way.

The Big Day

On the big day, I will arrive about 45 minutes prior to the ceremony in order to set up the PA system and anything else which we may have agreed on, for example the signing table.

I may take this opportunity to liaise with other wedding providers, such as your photographer or venue coordinator, and have a chat to the Groom and Groomsmen before the Bride arrives.

I always try to ensure that the ceremony itself is as relaxed and enjoyable as possible.

Once the ceremony is over and you are busy with your family and friends I will slip away as unobtrusively as possible.

I will lodge your paperwork with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages within 14 days and
in approximately 3 weeks I will be in touch again to make sure you were happy  with everything and to ask you to complete a brief feedback form and perhaps provide a testimonial for my website.
